Subject: Kerr McGee Pipeline Project #1,057
Good morning,
I respectfully notify you of an upcoming Kerr McGee pipeline decommissioning project that will be
occurring within the Town of Firestone pertaining to Project #1,057. We would like to begin the project
starting the week of 4/3/23. The work should take approximately one to two weeks to complete.
The scope of this project will involve the abandonment and removal of a Natural Gas gathering
pipeline. The maps below show the approximate pipeline location to be removed. For the sections to be
removed, a small "bell hole" would be created approximately every 100', in order to cut the pipe and pull
the pipe out. This allows us to minimize our potential impacts. Any section of line that runs under a
roadway or driveway will be "abandoned in place" to prevent adverse effects on existing
infrastructure. All pipelines shown are within the Town limits. This line runs under CR 24 ½ into Weld
County Jurisdiction.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
David Van der Vieren
