A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2014 BUDGET BY INCREASING THE
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Firestone on December 11, 2013
adopted a budget for the 2014 calendar year per Resolution 13-35, pursuant to and in accordance
with the Local Government Budget Law; and
WHEREAS, the Town has available and existing unappropriated fund balance in the
General Fund; and
WHEREAS, a need exists to appropriate additional sums of money in the General Fund
to fund a market analysis study related to economic development activities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has published notice of and held a hearing upon the
supplemental appropriations and amendments to the 2014 budget authorized by this Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, the amended 2014 budget, as revised by this Resolution, remains in balance
as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO,
Section 1. That the 2014 General Fund appropriation is hereby increased by $17,430,
such appropriation corresponding to unanticipated expenditures for consultant costs related to
economic development activities. Such increased appropriation is funded by existing General
Fund balance as allowed by State statutes. The distribution of the supplemental appropriation is
as follows:
