A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees adopted Chapter 12.36 of the Firestone Municipal
Code setting forth policies and procedures for the issuance of permits for special events
conducted on Town -owned property; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 12.36 provides that the Board of Trustees shall from time to time
establish applicable fees for special events; and
WHEREAS, by this resolution, the Board of Trustees desires to establish the fees
applicable to special events.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO.
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 12.36.040.1) of the Firestone Municipal Code, the
following fees and charges are hereby imposed and shall be paid in connection with any
application for a special event permit.
• Special Event Application Review Fee: $100; nonrefundable.
• Rush Processing Fee: $100; nonrefundable. This fee will be added to the application
fee if the proper paperwork is not submitted 60 days in advance of the event. This
does not guarantee that the special event permit can be processed in time.
• Parade Fee: $50; refundable if the special event permit application is not approved.
• Park Usage Rental Fee: $200 per day; refundable if the special event permit
application is not approved. This includes all shelters at the park, picnic tables,
existing trash containers and restrooms, but not exclusivity of the parlc. Event holder
must supply staff to empty the garbage cans and remove to dumpsters.
• Trail Usage Rental Fee: $150 per day; refundable if the special event permit
application is not approved.
• Temporary Street Closure: $25; nonrefundable.
• Firestone Police Department Security: Event holders may hire Town police officers
to provide security at special events. Separate charges will be set and invoiced by the
Firestone Police Department.
Section 2. The fees and charges set by this resolution shall be effective upon the
effective date of Ordinance No. �, and may thereafter be amended from time to time by
resolution of the Board of Trustees.
Section 3. The fees and charges set by this resolution shall supersede and replace any
fees previously set or adopted by the Board of Trustees for the same purpose.
