The Firestone Police Department believes that communication and community partnerships are crucial to addressing crime concerns and keeping Firestone listed as one of the safest communities in Colorado. Police and Community Together (PACT) -- Tuesday, July 25, from 6 – 7:00 p.m. -- Firestone Police Department, 9900 Park Avenue -- Guest Presenter: Detective Justin Lappegaard from the Firestone Police Department will make a presentation on emerging fraud trends and prevention tips. Join the Firestone Police Department for a Police and Community Together (PACT) meeting! PACT meetings will feature speakers from dierent divisions within the department or from outside partners that support the department. In addition, each meeting will include department updates on crime statistics, trends, and crime prevention recommendations. Each meeting will end with a Q&A session and an opportunity to meet the speakers. View more information at www.firestoneco.gov/PACT National Night Out The Firestone Police Department and the Town of Firestone will host National Night Out on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Harney Park (10245 Devonshire Street) from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. Attendees can interact with Firestone Police Oicers, engage with sta from other first responder agencies, see emergency equipment displays up close, and collect giveaways for kids. In addition, the park will be full of free activities: -- Black Ops Obstacle Course: Battle your opponent to victory as you make your way through the bricked wall entrance, down the path of stone pillars, crawl throughs and passageways -- Toddler Zone Inflatable, where our smaller attendees can enjoy climbing, sliding, crawling, and playing! -- Dunk Tank -- ...and more! There will also be food and dessert available for purchase from Eats & Sweets, Nacho Mamas Tacos, and Southern Twist. The National Night Out program is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime eorts, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. Cops & Cones The first annual "Cops & Cones" event will give kids in Firestone a chance to meet local police oicers and enjoy a complimentary treat from The Divine Ice Cream truck. Come to Neighbors Point Park (10140 Neighbors Parkway) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023 to celebrate the end of summer and the start of a new school year! View more information here. 2022 Firestone Citizens' Police Academy Citizens Police Academy The Firestone Police Department will host a Citizensʼ Police Academy this fall. This is an exciting, 10-week program that provides a hands-on learning experience for attendees, designed to build a better understanding of law enforcement and the decisions oicers make every day and to build partnerships within the community. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. starting on Tuesday, September 12, and finishing with a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, November 14.
