HomeMy WebLinkAboutPolice and Community Together (PACT) - 9/15/2023PACT Meeting: Law Enforcement Safety Initiative Community Meeting Join the Firestone Police Department for the next Police and Community Together (PACT) meeting! During the August 25, 2023, Board of Trustees meeting, Firestone Chief of Police David Angelo gave the Board a presentation about a safety initiative proposal for Flock Safety Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) implementation in the Town of Firestone. Flock Safety ALPRs are cameras that are strategically located within certain areas of the community to automatically capture an image – not video – of the rear of a vehicle and the vehicle's license plate. These images are used for real-time alerts when stolen or wanted vehicles enter the Town of Firestone, as an investigative tool and as a deterrent to criminals. The Firestone Police Department would like to invite the public to the next PACT meeting to learn more about this technology, how it is proposed to be used within the Town of Firestone, potential locations for cameras, and more. Event Details Date: Tuesday, September 26th Time: 5:30 p.m. *Please note the updated time!* Location: Firestone Police Department – 9900 Park Avenue View more information at www.firestoneco.gov/PACT More Information on PACT in the Community The Firestone Police Department is interested in hosting PACT meetings in the community.
