HomeMy WebLinkAboutTown of Firestone Regular Municipal Election Update & Candid - 12/20/2023Town of Firestone Regular Municipal Election Update & Candidate Training The Town of Firestone will conduct a Regular Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. During this election, registered voters in Firestone will be electing a Mayor and three (3) Trustees. The Mayor will be elected to serve a two-year term, and three Trustees will be elected to serve four-year terms. The Town of Firestone Clerkʼs Oice would like to invite interested residents to a Candidate Training on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room in the Police Department & Municipal Court Building at 9900 Park Avenue, Firestone, Colorado. The Candidate Training will cover the nomination petition procedure, deadlines, the role of elected oicials in the Town of Firestone, general election information, and the Fair Campaign Practices Act. Attending the training is not required, but it is highly recommended. Nomination petition packets can be picked up from the Town Clerkʼs Oice starting on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Important Dates for Candidates: First day petition may be circulated: January 2, 2024 Last day to file nomination petition: January 22, 2024 Last day to amend nomination petition: January 29, 2024 Last day to withdraw petition: January 30, 2024 For more election and candidate information, please visit www.firestoneco.gov/election.
