A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE,
COLORADO, ACTING BY AN) THROUGH ITS WATER ACTIVITY ENTERPRISES
DECLARING STAGE 1 DROUGHT CONDITIONS AND ESTABLISHING MANDATORY
WATERING RESTRICTIONS FOR THE CONSERVATION OF WATER IN THE TOWN OF
FIRESTONE WATER UTILITY SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that drought conditions within the State of Colorado
are impacting and, threatening the Town's available and potential future water supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that, in order to protect the I owan"s available and
potential future water supply which is primarily dependent upon yields of the Colorado -Big
Thompson Project — it is necessary for the Town to reduce its water usage; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the mandatory watering restrictions and other
requirements regarding water use which are set forth herein will serve to reduce water usage within the
"town and assist in alleviating existing drought conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
Section 1. The Board of "Trustees of the Town of Firestone hereby declares Stage I
Moderate to Severe Drought Conditions for the Town and for all lands outside of the Town, if any,
presently served by the Town's water utility system.
Section 2. The Board of Trustees of the Town of Firestone hereby imposes the following
mandatory water use restrictions, which shall apply to all consumers, persons and property owners
receiving potable water service from the Town water system:
A. Watering Restrictions for Residential, industrial, Schools, and Commercial Lawns and
Landscape Areas:
I. Lawn and landscape area watering for residences and commercial properties
with an even -numbered address is pennaitted on Mondays, Wednesdays.
Fridays and Sundays only.
-. Lawn and landscape area watering for residences with an odd -numbered
address is permitted on Tuesdays, Thursdays. Saturdays, and Sundays only.
3. Lawn and landscape area watering is recommended between the hours of 6:0
pm. and 10:00 a.m.
4, Upon application to the Town, a permit may be obtained to allow a residence
or commercial property a waiver from the water restrictions stated above in
order to facilitate the establishment of a new lawn installed after April 1, 2026
The permit shall be posted on the property and subject to inspection by `i own
officials. The person applying for the permit shall affirm that the permit is
requested solely to establish such a new lawn, and a false affirmation shall be
grounds for revocation of the permit.

space, and tracts is permitted on Monday=s, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
only.
2. Lawn and landscape area atering watering is recommended beteen the hours of 6:00
p.m. and 10:00 a.m.
3. Upon application to the Town, a permit may be obtained to allow a HOA a
waiver from the water restrictions stated above in order to facilitate the
establishment of a new lawn installed after April 1, 2026. The permit shall be
posted on the property and subject to inspection by Town officials. The person
applying for the permit shall affirm that the permit is requested solely to
establish such a new lawn, and a false affirmation shall be grounds for
revocation of the permit:.
Section 3. This Resolution and the watering restrictions set forth herein shall become effective
on April 16, 2026, and shall remain in effect until the earlier of (i) December 31, 2026; (ii) rescission of
the Stage I drought declaration by the Town Board; or (iii) a determination by the Interim Town Manager
that water supply conditions have improved such that the restrictions are no longer necessary, in
accordance with Section 4.
Section 4. All other resolutions or portions thereof inconsistent or conflicting with this
resolutionor any portion hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict.
Section 5. [he Interim Town Manager or such person's designated Department Director is
further authorized to do all things necessary and desirable on behalf of the Town to modify or rescind the
watering restrictions if drought conditions or water supply conditions change for the better or worse, so
long as the changing conditions warrant such changes and such measures fit within the guidelines identified
in the Town of Firestone adopted Drought Management Plan.
