RESOLUTION NO. 26-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
FIRESTONE, COLORADO, DECLARING A VACANCY ON THE BOARD
OF TRUSTEES FOR A TRUSTEE SEAT
WHEREAS, the Town of Firestone (“Town”) Board of Trustees (“Board”) member Lorna
Morton voluntarily resigned from her seat on the Town Board and elective office as a Town Board
Trustee effective April 22, 2026; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with C.R.S. § 31-4-303, the Town Board must fill the vacant
seat by appointment or order a special election to fill the vacant seat once a vacancy occurs; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board desires to formally declare a vacancy on the Town Board for
a Trustee member seat for purposes of providing public notice of the vacancy and initiating the
process to fill the vacant seat in accordance with applicable state law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
Section 1. The Town Board of Trustees formally declares that there is a vacancy on the
Town Board for a Trustee member seat.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 2026.
