HomeMy WebLinkAboutVolunteer Positions Open - 5/4/2026Volunteer Positions Open The Board of Trustees is looking for volunteers to serve on the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Parks, Trails, Recreation and Open Space Commission. Serving the Town is an excellent way to become active in the Town government decision-making process and give back to your community. Parks, Trails, Recreation and Open Space Commission There are currently 3 vacancies. The Parks, Trails, Recreation and Open Space Commission (PTROC) advises the Board of Trustees on matters related to the Townʼs parks, trails, open space, and recreation system. The Commission may review relevant plans and policies, gather community input, and provide recommendations to support the planning, development, and stewardship of these community resources. PTROC meets quarterly on the first Wednesday of each quarter at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room/Court Room at the Firestone Police and Municipal Court Facility, 9900 Park Avenue, Firestone, CO 80504. Planning & Zoning Commission There are currently 2 vacancies. The Planning & Zoning Commission is a seven-member commission that recommends various development matters to the Board of Trustees for consideration. The Commission members also serve as the Board of Adjustments. The Planning & Zoning Commission typically meets twice per month, on the first and third Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room/Court Room at the Firestone Police and Municipal Court Facility, 9900 Park Avenue, Firestone, CO 80504.
