HomeMy WebLinkAboutBudget Billing Program for Utility Customers - 6/30/2026Town of Firestone Launches Budget Billing Program for Utility Customers The Town of Firestone is pleased to introduce its Budget Billing Program, a new utility billing option designed to provide customers with more predictable monthly utility payments throughout the year. The program helps customers manage household expenses by averaging utility costs over a 12- month period. Rather than experiencing seasonal fluctuations, enrolled customers pay a consistent monthly amount based on their billing history and any applicable rate adjustments. To participate, customers must have an account in good standing and meet program eligibility requirements. Tenants may also enroll with written approval from the homeowner or property owner. Budget Billing amounts are calculated using the previous 12 months of billing history and are reviewed quarterly to help ensure payments remain aligned with actual usage. Customers will be notified before any adjustments are made to their monthly amount. The program also includes an annual settlement process to reconcile actual utility charges with the amount paid throughout the year, helping maintain both accuracy and predictability. Residents interested in enrolling can complete the Budget Billing Program Enrollment Request Form online. Customers will need their utility account number, which can be found on a recent utility bill or by logging into their online account.
