HomeMy WebLinkAboutTraffic Pattern Change at Firestone Boulevard - 7/20/2026Traffic Pattern Change at Firestone Boulevard & Northbound I-25 Off-Ramp Drivers exiting northbound I-25 at Firestone Boulevard should be aware of an important traffic pattern change. If you want to travel north on the East I-25 Frontage Road after exiting from northbound I-25, you can no longer use the right exit lane and cross 3 lanes of traffic to turn left (north) onto the East Frontage Road from Firestone Blvd. Instead, drivers must: 1. Proceed straight to the traffic signal at Firestone Boulevard 2. Turn right onto Firestone Boulevard 3. Move into the designated left-turn lane to access the northbound East Frontage Road New signage and solid lane striping are now in place to guide drivers through this updated traffic pattern. These changes were made to improve safety and reduce traffic conflicts at the interchange. Please slow down, follow all posted signs and pavement markings, and plan ahead as drivers adjust to the new traffic flow. The Firestone Police Department will be monitoring the area and enforcing the new traffic pattern. Failure to comply is a 4-point traffic infraction and may result in a $200 fine, plus a $25 surcharge. Why the Change? This traffic modification is part of the ongoing I-25 & Firestone Boulevard Safety Improvements Project, a partnership between the Town of Firestone and Colorado Department of Transportation to improve safety, reduce congestion, and enhance traffic flow near the interchange.
