A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
FIRESTONE, COLORADO, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
RECREATION EQUIPMENT BY THE TOWN'S PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to C.R.S. 31-15-302, the financial powers of the Town of Firestone
("Town") include the power to control the finances of the Town, appropriate money for municipal
purposes and provide for payment of munipal expenses; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees desires to approve the Public Works Department's
("PWD") purchase of recreation equipment which is necessary for the use and maintenance of the
Town's athletic fields; and
WHEREAS PWD thus desires to expend an amount not to exceed $39,800.00 for purchase
of the following equipment;
Various Baseball and Softball Field Equipment (portable mounts, bases,
Chalker, breakaway fencing, and field products) for $21,575.00
Multi -use Field Equipment (Nets/Goals and Line Painter) for $18,225.00;
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the purchase of such recreation equipment
is in the best interest of the Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
Section 1. The Board of Trustees hereby approves the Public Works Department purchase
of the recreation equipment set forth in this Resolution.
