A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
FIRESTONE, COLORADO, ADOPTING THE PARKS OPEN SPACE AND
TRAILS MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, Bishop Layton Inc dba Design Concepts under contract with the Town of
Firestone ("Town") worked with the Board of Trustees, Parks and Trails Advisory Board, Town
staff, stakeholders and the general public to develop a Parks, Open Space and Trails Master Plan
("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Plan is an essential tool in the Town's development of a Comprehensive
Plan, and determination of a Park Impact Fee; and
WHEREAS, the Plan will also guide the Town in its development and integration of future
parks, trails, open space and recreational facilities which will serve to enhance the lifestyle of all
members of the community: and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 2020 Design Concepts presented the latest draft of the Plan to the
Board of Trustees, which Plan the Board desires to adopt subject to final collation of all documents
and materials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
The Parks, Open Space and Trails Master Plan is adopted by the Town in substantially
the same form as the copy attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, subject to final
collation.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED this 27th day of January, 2021.
