Celebrate the 21st Annual 4th at Firestone The celebration of Independence Day in Firestone explodes with a day full of activities, including a patriotic parade, family fun, great food, and an evening event filled with music and fireworks. This year's festivities mark the 21st annual 4th at Firestone event on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. PARADE: New Route! Time: 10 a.m. Location: Reminder that we have a new parade route! The parade will start at the intersection of 4th Avenue & Grant Street. The new route will weave through Historic Firestone and finish along First Street, as it has in years past. Map: View the parade map here. PARKING Time: The parking lot will open at 12:30 p.m., a er the parade is complete. Location: Parking will be available for the full day of activities near Miners Park. You do not need to stay for the full day of events to park in the lot. The exit on the north end of the lot will be open the full day. The entrance to the parking lot is o of 1st Street, north of the former Town Hall building. View a detailed map, with entry and exit directions here. Details: Follow the parking attendants for guidance once you have entered the lot. There are ADA parking spaces available. You must have an ADA mirror tag or ADA license plate to park in those spaces. We ask that everyone be respectful of the rules posted, including no fireworks of any kind, no alcohol permitted in the parking lot, and as a reminder, please leave your dogs at home. Additionally, we ask that drivers be aware of all parking regulations within the Town of Firestone and any neighboring municipalities. Do not block neighbors' driveways, and do not park in no-parking zones. DAY ACTIVITIES Time: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Join us at 2:00 p.m. for the presentation of the colors by Cub Scout Pack 341, parade awards, the recognition of local veterans, and a special flyover! Location: Miners Park, 170 Grant Ave. Details: Join us for food trucks, booth vendors, and plenty of free fun activities for the whole family. Scheduled activities include: bounce houses, a zipline, human foosball, face painting, caricature art, BINGO & Spingo in the shade tent, The Jenn Cleary Trio, and the Djembe Drum Orchestra, and more! It will be a hot day; please remember to bring water, a hat, and sunscreen! FOOD & DRINKS Time: Food and drink vendors will be open from 11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. The Beer Garden, hosted by Brendan Dunigan Memorial Foundation, opens at 2:00 p.m. Vendors include: Short Dʼs, Cilantro & Lime, Nacho Mamaʼs Tacos, Itʼs All Greek to Me, The Slawpy Barn, Bigʼs Meat Wagon, A MaizeNʼ Kettle Corn, Maui Wowi, Wa le Cakes, and Happy Cones. EVENING ACTIVITIES Time: 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. Location: Miners Park, 170 Grant Ave. Details: Enjoy a delicious meal or a festival dessert from food trucks, grab a drink from the beer garden, and visit with friends and neighbors while listening to outstanding live entertainment, including Jax Jordening at 4:00 p.m., John McKay Band at 6:00 p.m., and headlining the evening is Wood Belly starting at 8:00 p.m. FIREWORKS SHOW Finish the evening with an outstanding fireworks show presented by Oxy, beginning around 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be shot o just north of the 15th hole at Saddleback Golf Course. ________________________________________ For more information on the 21st Annual 4th at Firestone, please visit www.firestoneco.gov/4thatFirestone or follow the event on Facebook at www.facebook.com/FirestoneColorado/Events.
