A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OFTRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE,
COLORADO, PRESCRIBING TME TOWN OF FIRESTONE'S WATER RATES, FE.ES,
TOLLS AND CHARGES AND STORAGE AND INFRASTRtICTURE INVESTMENT
FEES
WHEREAS, upon completion of the deterrintration of` the Tokiis water capital needs and
operational costs and storage and delivet-y, systein development costs the 'I`own established water
rates, teesx tolls, and charges and storage and investment fiees which were set forth in Resolution No.
23- 11, wid
WIJU"'REAS, the'fown, which operates a municipal water facility and Central Weld County
Water District ("CW(I"'WD-) are parties to various intergovernmental agreements concerning the
provision of water service and facilities to the 'fown-, and
WI-11 REAS. pursuant to such intergovernmental agreements, CWCWD front time to tinse
increases its charges regarding its provision of water services to they 'f'own, and
WHEREAS, effective November I 0231; CWCWD implemented increases in the amount
of 5.7% per armurn for the water rates and charges aud tap fees which it imposes upon the 'I'own.-
and
WHERE'AS, to ensure that the 'Fown in a fiscally responsible manner can continue to meet
its operational and capital needs for its water delivery systems the Town must increase in an
arnount equal to that imposed by CVCWD the water onesand charges and tap fees in the amounts
set forth in Section 1, Section 2, and Section 3, (Water Usage Rate) in this resolution; and
WHEUAS, upon completion of the water rate study the'fown established water rates, which
were set forth in Resolution No. 23- 119, which was adopted by the Board of 'Frustees on November
8, 2023; and

Section 2. Connection. CqpLital Investment and Repair Fecs. The following connection
and capital investment and repair It -es shall be imposed, except that the Town of Firestone shall
not be required to pay such connection fees for irrigation sprinkler systems for any public parks,
rights -of -way, open space, or medians, or any facility developed, wvvned or paid for by the Town

Connection and capital i nvestnient and repair fees as wel I as any other fees for taps req mring a meter
larger than 2" shall be determined by the Board of Trustees on an individual basis considering such
factors as type of use, contemplated volume demand for water, effect on the entire water systern in the
Town, connection and capital investment fees imposed by CWCWD,Barad all other factors relevant to
the application. All taps requiring a meter larger than 2'* and all taps applied for where the service
requested is outside of the'rown limits shall be by contract with the Board of Tmstees. Out-of-town
taps oft"' or less shall be charged fees at two theses the atriount of in -Town fees.
Section 3. Construction Hy_drant Meter Rental Ter nis. The following fees shall be imposed
for ydrant ineters ISUPPfie by,
the Town for construction Nvtiter rise. A Hydrant Connection Permit

must be obtained frorn the Town Clerk prior to any water being used from any 'fire hydrant. Such
perntit shall be valid for a period not to exceed 6 months.

Administration Fee 25.00 per permit
Meter Rental 4.00 per day
Late Charge 5.00 per day,
Water Usage Rate 6.23 per 1,000 gallons
Section 4. Meter Fees. 'rhe following fees shall be imposed for Meter assemblies installed by
the ']'own for new service connections: such fees for taps requiring as meter larger than 2" shall be as
set by contract with the Board of Trustees:

Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect on January 1, 2024 and at such to all other
resolutions addressing , 1heTow,'n*s water rates, fees, tolls and charges set forth herein shall be repealed
in their entirety.
