NOW, 1111"'Rf'I"ORE, l,(')R AND IN CONSIDI'TATION of the covenants and
agreements below appearing, the parties agree as toflo\vs:
1.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
A. 'file Town shall provide a School Resource Officer ("SRO"') who shall Inc assigned to
work with the administration, faculty, arid students of the School, and rnay perl'orm
function.s, including, but not limited to, the followhu;:
I Assist in the prevention and control of crinic, delinquency, truancy, and disorder oil the
campuses and in the inlinediate area ofthe schools if students are involved.
2. Conduct or assist in the investigation of'offenses on caniflus.
3. I)rovide presentations and available educational resources in the following areas., alcohol
and substance abuse. law -related education. criminal justice system orientation,
delinquency, prevention, gang! invol crnenl and awareness, and cornniunity responsibility.

4As requested lay Schools* staff provide instrUCtional resources lor classroom presentations.

5I'Mforce state statutes and as codes as appropriate.
6. Appear in court and assist in prosecution and other judicial processes as appropriate.
7, Assist in the coordination of efforts of other enforcement agencies oil the School's
campuses,
8. Provide visible presence on the School's carnpuses.
9, Assist carnpus monitors with appropriate monitoring and enforcement in the parking lots
and other School grounds.
10Attend School -related functions during nortnal classroom hours. 'Fhe SRO may be asked
to a(hust their hours lrorn time to firne to attend social events such as school dances and
sporting events. etc. This type ol'adJustment is generally reserved for the Middle School,
Such service will not replace security, and off-dury work, already in place,
11. Contribute to the positive police -school- on-armnity relation efforts, especially as these
efforts relate to students and parents.
12. Provide a monthly report ofactivitics to the School Security Director.
IL PROGIZAM ADMINISTRATION
A, Emplovment. The SRO shall be a regular employee and certified peace of of the
Tco,Nrn. The SRO will be subject to the ordinances, policies. procedures, rules, regulations,
directives, and orders of the 'Fown, The SRO also will comply with tile P olicies and
regulations of the School, to the extent that Such policies -aid regulations are not in
conflict with those of the Town: are not in conflict with other ternis contained herein or
with direction ofthe 'Fown; and are not in conflict xvith federal, state or To\vn laws.
13. Sallarv, and Benefits, The SRO will receive salary and benefits and regulation issued
equipment and supplies front theTown. The School Resource Officer Prograrn at FCA is
tbrided by the 'Fown and tire School. The School agrees to pay S48,394.83 to the Town,
which such amount is equal to cease -half of the SRO's annual salary prorated to nine (9)
mouth school period and which such arnount is payable not more than 30 days after this
Agreement has been executed.
C. Schedule, The SRO will work a schedule that is established pursuant to and consistent
Ti-thFown's policies and procedures, and sut1ject to the Fair I.abor Standards Act. Except
as otherwise provided in this Agrectrient, during times when the School is in session. the
SRO unless otherxvise excused -,vill be on site for the e;ntirch chool calendar dav% In the
event ol'an emergency., as determined solely by the fown'. the SRO may be required to
leave the School.
D. �S�uwrv�jsion, The SRO's supervisor will be responsible for maintaining contact with the
School's principal, administration. and managcinent staff. 'rhe SRO will work closely
Nvith School administrators and faculty to detern-nne the most effective use of the SROs

time and expertise, but shall not be Subject to the supervision or direction by the School,
its officers. agents, or employees.
E. Performance Ap -viso sisal. "I'he SRO*s super r will accept input from the Schools'
principal or their designees regarding the SRO's perl'ormance.
1�: Ve,h:icle-_ Facilities. As necessaiA, to the duties of the position, and sub ect to availability,
tile SRO will be provided on -duty use of Town vehicle, The School shall provide the
SRO with access to office facilities at the School appropriate tca the conduct of their on -
site duties.
G Liability CoveraLe. The Town and the School shall exchange evidence of insurance
showing general liability coverage for the School and general liability and law
erd'orcement liability coverages for the ToNvii in at least the minimurn amounts of the per
occurrence and aggregate liability limits of the Colorado (1overnmental lininunity, Net, for
protection from claims for bodily ittntry, death. property damage, or personal ittJury, which
may arise through the performance of this Agreement. Such evidence shall be approved
by each recipient, through respectively, the Towri's 'Yown Manager and School's Principal,
prior to the cc rnmencernent of this Agreement,
14. Termination. This Ag ,reernent may be terminated without cause 1)), either partV upon 30
days* written notice, Upon termination, any funds provided by thc Schop i shall be
prorated and returned to the School. Notice shall be given to the ilmvli's Chief of Police
or the School's Principal as appropriate.
1. Entire Aueement. This Agreement contains the entire, agreement of the parties.
Tn (Iments ofthis Agreement rnay be made only in writing and signed by the parties.
J, Relationship of the Parties. It is mutually agreed and understood that nothing contained
in this Agreement is intend d or shall be construed as in aTiy way, establishing the
relationship of co-partners or a joint venture between the Town and the School, or as
construing the School, including its officers, agents. volunteers and employees, as an
agent of the Town, or as construing the Town, including its off cers, agents, volunteers
and employees, as an agent of the School. The School shall not represent that the SRO is
an employee or agent of the School in any capacity. The SRO shall not represent that they
are an employee or agent of`` chool in any capacity.
K. Third Par !1 Beneficiaries. None of the terms or conditions in this Agreement gives or
allri s any claim, benefit, or right oaf` action by any third Person not a party hereto. Ally
person other than the Town or School receiving services or benefits under this Contract is
on] air incidental beneficiary.

L. Colorado Governmental Immunitv Act. Nothing herein shall be deemed as waiver by the
parties cafe,the nionetary limitations or immunities, rights, and protection afforded each in
accordance with the Colorado Governmental Act CR.S, 1-4-10-101 et serf, as same nlay be
amended from time to time.

TERNI OF AGREEMENT
The terms ofthis Agreement hall be raf ctive August 1 2023 and shall continue through May 31
2024 unless sooner terminated as provided herein.
