A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
FIRESTONE, COLORADO, ADOPTING THE FIRESTONE BUILDING
DIVISION FEE SCHEDULE AND FIRESTONE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW
FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the Town of Firestone ("Town") established the Firestone Development
Review Fee Schedule by duly adopted Resolution No. 20-100, and
WHEREAS, the Town established the Firestone Building Division Fee Schedule by duly
adopted Resolution No. 22-113; and
WHEREAS, the Town's Planning and Development Department ("Planning
Department") has examined the capital needs and operations of the Town and investigated the
Town's administrative costs inherent in administering the Firestone Development Code ("FDC")
as well as administrative costs for performing all building services that will be incurred by the
Town in connection with building permits, inspections, and for other enumerated procedures
authorized by Title 15 of the Firestone Municipal Code, and recognizes a need to adopt the
Firestone Development Review Fee Schedule and Firestone Building Division Fee Schedule
accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has determined that the proposed updated
Development Review Fee Schedule sets forth fees that are reasonably related to the Town's costs
and thus necessary to defray the actual costs incurred by the Town costs inherent in administering
the FDC, including but not limited to, processing and reviewing all development or improvement
applications or requests submitted to the Town in accordance with the FDC, all costs of review of
the application performed by the Town Attorney and other administrative staff, including but not
limited to, engineering and planning, all costs of review of the application performed by outside
consultants and referral agencies, all costs and expenses in preparing and publishing notices,
document copying, recording of documents, meeting and hearing costs and expenses, all costs
relating to legal or administrative staff reports accompanying the application, all costs relating to
specialized attorney assistance , all costs relating to property and project inspection, and all costs
relating to both general enforcement of the FDC as well as enforcement of the Code requirements
during the development described in the application; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has determined that the proposed updated Building
Division Fee Schedule sets forth fees are reasonably related to the Town's costs and thus necessary
to defray the actual costs incurred by the Town in the performance of the building services
provided by the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees desires to adopt the Planning Department's
determination as to the fees set forth in the updated fee schedules attached to this resolution as
Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
Section 1. The Board of Trustees of the Town of Firestone hereby adopts the It
Development Review Fee Schedule in substantially the same form as the copy attached hereto and
made a part of this resolution.
Section 2. The Board of Trustees of the Town of Firestone hereby adopts the Firestone
Building Division Fee Schedule in substantially the same form as the copy attached hereto and made
a part of this resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect upon its approval by the
Board of Trustees, and Resolution No. 20-100 and Resolution No. 22413 shall be repealed in their
entirety. Any other resolution(s) setting forth or addressing the fees set forth in the Building
Division Fee Schedule or Development Review Fee Schedule shall be repealed in its (their)
entirety.
