A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TIiF TOWN OF
FIRESTONE. COLORADO, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO
THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF
FIRESTONE AND BRANNAN SAND AND GRAVEL COMPANY FOR THE
V1ILL AND OVERLAY PAVING PROJECT FOR PORTIONS OF
FIRESTONE AND COLORADO BOULEVARDS
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2022, the Town of Firestone ("Town") and Brannan Sand and
Gravel Company ("Contractor") entered into a Constriction Contract for mill and overlay work
for both lanes o; Firestone Blvd from Oak Meadows Blvd to Cimarron Str:et and for both lanes
of Colorado Blvd from Cimarron Street to Oak i-.4eadows Blvd; and
WHEREAS, prior to tine cornunerncement ofwork Town staff determined that an additional
area of Firestone Blvd east of Oak Meadows Blvd was also in need of mill and overlay services;
and
WHEREAS, as Contractor is on -site, staff finds that it would be beneficial in terms of
efficiency and cost to have Contractor perform the additional mill and overlay work and thus
recommends approval of Change Order No. 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
Change Order No. 1 to the Construction Contract between the Town of Firestone and
Brannan Sand and Gravel Company, is approved in substantially the same form as the copy
attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, and the Mayor is authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1 on behalf of the Town.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED this 8t1A day of June, 2022.
