New Traffic Pole Installation On Friday, March 5th, contractors for the Town of Firestone will begin working in the intersection at Firestone Blvd and Colorado Blvd to relocate and replace the traffic signal pole located on the southwest corner. UPDATED SCHEDULE: The work is weather-dependent but is anticipated to be complete by Monday, March 22nd. The work will be complete in two steps. Step one will be to stand the new traffic pole and prepare for change over. Step two will be to tear down the existing traffic pole, finish the final change over, and ensure the traffic signal is up and running. During daylight hours on Friday, March 5th, the contractor will prepare the site. The contractor will stand the new light pole up on Wednesday, March 10th. The removal of the existing traffic pole and final change over happening the night of Sunday, March 21st. This work will require temporary lane closures on Firestone Blvd and Colorado Blvd. When traveling through this intersection, please be alert and follow all traffic control signage and flaggers.
