Contract Alluvial Supply Treatment Horizontals Well Pump Stations 03-08-2023RESOLUTION NO.23-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE COLORADO APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE AND SUN VALLEY ELECTRIC INC FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRESTONE ALLUVIAL SUPPLY TREATMENT HORIZONTAL WELL PUMP STATION WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 22-64 the Town of Firestone ("Town") entered into a contract with Sun Valley Electric Inc. ("Sun Valley") to construct the Firestone Alluvial Supply Treatment ("FAST") Horizontal Well Pump Station; and WHEREAS, due to delays caused by the late delivery of supplies, weather and United Power, Sun Valley requests that the contract time be extended to April 1, 2023; and WHEREAS, though the St. Vrain Water Treatment Plant Injection Pump Station for which Sun Valley served as electrician is complete, the Town desires to add certain improvements, which include additional exterior lighting, an additional thermostat and access improvements to the Injection Pump Station's facilities all of which can be done by Sun Valley; and WHEREAS, the Injection Pump Station's Contractor has advised the Town that as it would have to hire a subcontractor to construct the improvements it would be less expensive to have Sun Valley perform the requested work and the cost effectiveness would be further increased by the fact that the Injection Pump Station is on the same property as the FAST Horizontal Well Pump Station. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO: Change Order No. I to the FAST Horizonal Well Pump Station Contract between the Town of Firestone and Sun Valley Electric Inc. is approved in substantially the same form as the copy attached hereto and made a part of this resolution and the Mayor is authorized to execute the Change Order on behalf of the Town.
