HomeMy WebLinkAbout1061 Authorizing Sale of Certain Real Properties Owned by the Town 03-26-2025ORDINANCE 1061 all N I I U 10 REAL PROPERTIES OWNED BY THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO; WHEREAS, the Town of Firestone (the "Town") is a municipal corporation and body politic, organized under the laws of the State of Colorado and possessing the maximum powers, authority, and privileges to which it is entitled under Colorado law; and WHEREAS, Section 38-30-14 1, C.R.S., authorizes the Board to approve by ordinance the conveyance of any real estate belonging to the Town by deed or conveyance signed and acknowledged by the Mayor and attested by the signature of the Town Clerk and by the official seal of the Town; WHEREAS, Section 31-15-713(1)(b), C.R.S., authorizes the Board to sell and dispose of, by ordinance, any real estate not used or held for a governmental purpose; WHEREAS, the Town of Firestone {"Town") owns the real property to be sold is and has not been used or held for a governmental purpose; all located within the Town of Firestone, with each to be known as Parcels A through G, respectively, and collectively, the "Property." WHEREAS, the Town Board of Trustees ("Board") finds and determines that the Property has not been used or held for a municipal purpose during the period of the Town's ownership; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of the establishment of a proposed Firestone Downtown Development Authority, the Board desires to convey by quitclaim deed fee simple determinable title to the Property to the following persons: Don Conyac, Jr, Frank A. Jimenez, Raymond Byrd, Sean Doherty, Linda Haney, Matt Holcomb, and Loma Morton, so long as each such person is an elected official of the Town of Firestone. TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO: Section 1. Authorization of Sale to Don Conyac, Jr. The Town Board authorizes the sale of fee simple determinable title to Parcel A to Don Conyac, Jr so long as he is an elected official of the Town of Firestone.
