A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE,
COLORADO, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR USE OF SUBSCRIPTION
MATERIAL BETWEEN THE TOWN OF FIRESTONE AND LEXIPOL, LLC
WHEREAS, Lexipol, LLC, ("Lexipol") is a national film which provides a Law
Enforcement Policy Manual, Daily Training Bulletins, Policy Updates, Web-Based Delivery
Platform, Accreditation Assistance, Operational Procedures and Tiered Implementation of
Policies for police departments throughout the nation; and
WHEREAS, Lexipol prov ides state specific policies, which includes Colorado, and its
policies for Colorado law enforcement departments ("Departments") are approved by the
Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police; and
WHEREAS, Lexipol staff is cuffently working directly with its client Departments within
the state to address the policy issues and concerns arising from the recently enacted Colorado
Law Enforcement Integrity Bill SB20-217; and
WHEREAS, given the ever increasing changes and complexity in statutes and case law,
and their resulting liability concerns affecting law enforcement on both the national and state
level, it is essential that the Town have up to date policies; and
WHEREAS, smaller agencies simply lack the staff, expertise and resources which
Lexipol can provide and thus staff recommends that the Board of Trustees approve the Lexipol
Subscription Material Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FIRESTONE, COLORADO:
The Agreement for Use of Subscription Material between Lexipol, LLC, and the Town of
Firestone is approved in substantially the same fo1m as the copy attached hereto and made a part
of this resolution and the Mayor is authorized to execute same on behalf of the Town.
